    Snowshoeing is enormous fun. If you haven't tried it before why not give it ago and Champex Lac is the perfect place to start. It really is a great way to explore the area in winter. 

     

    There are four lovely racquette walks around Champex Lac:

     

    1. Tour de Champex

    This walk starts in the heart of magnificent countryside with a frozen lake and snowy swamps, and on the way back, a view of the majestic Combins from the south-west face of the Catogne

    Patinoire – Sentier Emile Lovey – Parking Téléchampex – Lac – Patinoire ~ 1h40

    Difficulty level 2/3

     

    2. Château Roc

    This tour begins in the fairytale like atmosphere of a frozen lake and continues through the heart of Champex-Lac’s charming chalets.

    Patinoire – Lac – Les Tsedes – Piscine – Patinoire ~ 1h15

    3. La Source

    A walk that starts off through a forest and opens up over the impressive Val d’Arpette. On the way, the Relais d’Arpette provides a welcome gastronomic stop.

    Parking Téléchampex – Arpette – Source du Durnand ~ 1h30 Difficulty level 2/3

     

    4. Le Devin

    This route follows an old road used by stagecoaches at the beginning of the 20th century when Champex Lac first became popular with tourists. A stunning view over the Val d’Entremont.
